3.4. Connect UAV to ground station

3.4.1. Turn on the radio controller and keep the throttle down to the lowest position.

3.4.2. Power on the aircraft and wait for initialization to be completed. Please do not move or shake the aircraft while it is in initializing.

3.4.3. Power on the video&data link and connect it to ground station on the LAN port, then run LAUNCH QGC software.

Select different connection methods according to the version of the image data transmission system.

3.4.3.1. Connect the drone to the ground station via TCPP, follow the steps below:

  1. Connect the video&data link ground unit to the ground station computer on Ethernet port, and then modify the IP address of the ground station computer to ensure it is on the same network segment as the video&data link.

  2. In the ground station software, enter the IP address and port in the TCP options, and then connect to the drone.

3.4.3.2. Connect the drone to the QGC software via UDP connection.

  1. Connect the video&data link ground unit to the ground station computer on Ethernet port, and then modify the IP address of the ground station computer to ensure it is on the same network segment as the video&data link.

  2. Use IP address 192.168.199.33 and port 15000 when connecting to the drone.

3.4.3.3. Connect the drone to the QGC software via serial port.

connect using a Type-C data cable, select the corresponding COM port , and set the baud rate to 115200.

3.4.3.4. Connect the drone to the ground station via a serial port, follow the steps below:

  1. Connect the data link ground unit to the ground station computer via USB.

  2. In the ground station software, select the corresponding serial port from the Serial Port dropdown list, set the baud rate to 115200, and then connect to the drone.

3.4.3.5. Connect the drone to the ground station via 4G data link, please contact Yangda Technical Support for assistance.
